SEED QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION: How do you relate to the notion of healers of the earth finding their healing? Can you share a personal story where you were both a healer of the earth and in need of healing? What helps you feel gratitude for healers of the earth?
I do not heal but I participate by attending. My presence gives the refraction, the slight distaff, the blip of distortion so that the other can use it as a reference point. My place is to hold space so that the other can test the parameters of wholeness.I am tickled to be chosen to do this.
I just went to a 3 day 'vipassana' course where this reading kept coming back to me. Not only did the 'metta' sound familiar to above passage but also the centre's environment. Trees with several types of leaves, filled the space and it was an awakening to realise the valuable asset and gift given to us in form of plants and leaves by Lord Almighty. It's a blessing and in wonderful abundance. I felt much gratitude. Thanks.
I feel incredibly nourished by being close to trees and I try to acknowledge their gift to us
by feeling my love and gratitude towards them . I thank them for being so generous
and am always painfully saddened by their destruction .
Feeling of gratitude to be healed by the healer of the earth and vice versa by doing random act of kindness and nurture by the earth's natural effect. There we're most of my life filled up with negativity, anger, fear, rejection, frustration where naturally healed by seeing beautiful creatures around us, like when I'm alone, I spend myself seeing far, appreciating dancing trees, whirling winds, sunny and sunset and rivers flowing. They are all natural healing of earth. And vice versa, I share this realization to every people I know who is need of healing too like me. I feel all the gratitude that God made creatures that will give you natural healing, seeing around will make you realize the bigger picture of life.
God Bless!
Every time I am in any garden (planting, weeding, harvesting) or eating a meal, I am thankful for how the earth nourishes our bodies. Anytime I go on hikes in nature I can feel the earth recharging my inner being and giving me strength. I heal people around me with smiles and hugs and the earth embraces me. Together we can heal each other and the earth.
I had to cut down two small trees on my property, but planted seven new ones in their place. Not only good for the environment, but good for my soul as well -- the joy I get watching them grow.
Healing of the earth, the very space-time we occupy is fundamental to our own personal healing and awakening of our consciousness to our cosmic mother. Lately, I have been experiencing this emotion strongly-the need to connect to the planet ever more deeply, to help heal atleast the space I occupy. This monsoon season, I helped plant 1200 trees in our community along with my friend. We picked trees of a rich-diversity that will enrich the soil and provide food for birds. We gathered seeds, dug pits and sowed them far and wide to help rapidly afforest our semi-arid community. I have also helped build bunds and trenches to trap rain water runoff to divert into her womb, so she can be nourished from water that has been painfully drained from her bowels.
Now, I can see hear her sing, as the seedlings sprout, trees bear shoots and birds roam freely with a wonderful choice of fruits to eat!. I am healing as well....
To heal means to become whole. We all need healing. No one is fully healed or whole, including healers of the earth. A small way in which I am a healer of the earth is by recycling, not littering and in picking up litter particularly on the road by my house. What helps me feel gratitude for healers of the earth is knowing that we are all part of the earth, what we do to the earth we do to ourselves, the earth is ours to enjoy and take care of and not exploit and destroy, all of which healers of the earth support.
