Fact is that most people remember nothing from previous life or lives. Some people associate vivid dreamlike pictures with memories from other lives.
Fact is as well that we have a lot of phantasy and phantasies. We don't know exactly how they are generated.
We know that we can talk to friends in our imagination and that they can talk back to us consciously or unconsciously.
We can observe that even little kids seem to have some kind of personality different from siblings.
So I think like lots of things it is safe to say: 'You decide for your self. Which might make it real for you with all consequences'
