Somik you have my gratitude for giving me the opportunity to share.
I get a high when I give a hungry person food. I love the idea of love. I don't practice it is much as I think about it. I am enamored with the words: "Where there is hatred, let me bring love, where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; wherethere is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light, and where there is sadness, joy." Francis of Assisi also said: "May I not so much seek to be consoled, as to console. To be understood, as to understand. To be loved, as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and that is in dying that we are born.
I also think the words of William Penn express love when he said: "I will pass this way but once. Any good, therefore, that I may do, or any kindness that I may show, to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it for I shall not pass this way again.
A way of practicing love for yourself is as Sheldon Kopp said: "Learn to forgive yourself again, and again, and again.
