"Meditation is a process of lightening up, of trusting the basic goodness of what we have and who we are, and of realizing that any wisdom that exists, exists in what we already have. We can lead our life so as to become more awake to who we are and what we’re doing rather than trying to improve or change or get rid of who we are or what we’re doing. The key is to wake up, to become more alert, more inquisitive and curious about ourselves." --Pema Chodron
A few of us come together for Youth Circles, every other week in the city of Surat. We typically sit in silence, share some aha-moments on a topic relevant for youth every week, and some food and conversation afterwards. There are no teachers or agendas. To attend our next circle, let us know.
First Part Collective silence. For first-timers, this primer on meditation may be helpful.
Second Part We host a unique topic each, and then we do a circle of sharing around it. Eg. Topic: Beauty we see in us. And question: What is one thing you like about yourself?
Third Part Share a meal together, followed by informal interaction.
There is no cost to attend; the circle is offered as a humble gift by a fellow youth.
