The people of Ukraine are taking a courageous stand in the face of the evil perpetrated by Vladimir Putin and his comrades. The Ukrainians' deep love of their country and belief in their young democracy serve as a powerful reminder that bravery is birthed in our hearts to do what is right. May we have the courage to stand with the Ukrainians and all life that is in pain, fear and suffering at this time. May the best and highest expressions of who we are as human beings break through this darkness.

Holding faith when all seems hopeless and dark is trusting in the power of spirit to embrace all that is and show up by telling the truth, discerning what I am called to do and how to be, and releasing that which is out of my control. As a grandfather now, I am reminded whenever I am with my grandson Hudson of how to live each day with the fresh eyes of a child and the heart of an elder who calls upon the wisdom of my ancestors.
